From the Danish country director :

I am proud to announce that the directors of Danish Pinball Open 2016
have decided to allow for pre-registrations for this years biggest
pinball event on danish soil.

You can read a bit about the tournament on our national forum, in the
following thread, which the directors will update continually as we get

The venue may or may not be known to you, but it is located in Valby,
Denmark, google map : https://goo.gl/maps/gN3EQ1FwTQA2

Price of admission if 50€, which, coinciding with the motto of the
tournament “DRINKS ARE ON THE HOUSE!”, includes an open bar for the
duration of the tournament.

And, as a final point of interest, Marketenderiet is also going to be
the venue for the IFPA14 World Championships in 2017.

Each country is allowed 5 pre-registrations, it is entirely up to the
directors of each country to decide how these are selected.

For each participant I need the following information

Full name
TAG
IFPA #
e-mail
Mobile phone number
T-shirt, yes/no and size (price of t-shirt is 20€)

And, I need your list of players to be in my inbox no later than the
15th of august. (Regular sign-up will open later that week)

Als er mensen zijn die willen gaan dan kunnen ze via mijh voorinschrijven voor dit event.

Ik zelf zit in China op een beurs dus kan spijtiggenoeg niet aanwezig zijn ...

Ik zie da persoonlijk wel zitten indien het toernooi op 1 dag gespeeld word maar daar vind ik geen info over . Vlucht zaterdag om 6h40 vanuit charleroi H/T komt het op minder dan 50 en hotel Rossini ,1 overnachting 107 per kamer . Heb daar wel zin in maar niet ALLEEN dus laat maar weten als er nog iemand interesse heeft

50 euro inschrijving and drinks are on the house ( tzal under geld kosten )

Interesse om mee met de Leurskes en hopelijk nog voldoende anderen naar ginds te trekken!

Dat ik laat ik dus over aan lieven om het te doen via ranking, via snelheid van inschrijving ( voor de beide zienk alweer chocolat ) of misschien maar daar hoop ik niet op heeft hij een boontje voor de organisator

heb al bericht gekregen van onze team director , pre inschrijvingen gebeuren via ranking ( Pffffffffffff) en ik die dacht da komt ier allemaal knorde !!!

Dus Dennis en mezelf moeten zich nog inschrijven , hotel kwestie ... wie slaapt er met wie , hotel dat ik had voorzien nml de rossini is vol op deze datum . ander hotel ook bijna volzet maar afstand is iets groter hotel Scandic Hvidrove , laten jullie me weten als ik daarvoor de boeking moet doen . Daar er 1 sukkelaar alleen moet slapen ( er zijn geen kamers van 3 )
hoop ik dat Rob of iemand anders ons vervoegd en anders stel ik voor om de hotelrekening te delen door 7 zodat de eenzaat niet met een zwaardere rekening wordt opgezadeld . Hotel zou ik vandaag nog willen boeken want er waren maar 4 kamers meer over is dat oké voor iedereen ??

Leuk te lezen dat er zoveel Belgen naartoe gaan! Belooft wel een lange dag te worden voor jullie, want het toernooi was de laatste paar jaar pas ver na middernacht afgelopen

Maar wilde slechts even de tip geven dat de reguliere inschrijvingen komende woensdag om 08:00 van start gaan.
Misschien al bekend bij jullie, maar zag het hier nog niet staan, vandaar.

“Danish Pinball Open 2016 – drinks are on the lab”

With 80 seats sold out in less than 5 minutes, 6 superstars from the global top 20, top players from all over the world, AND free beer Danish Pinball Open has never looked hotter than this year.

Thank you all for the overwhelming support – we’ll do our best to make this a day to remember (or not, if you get really drunk).

Below you’ll find answers to a lot of the FAQs regarding this year’s tournament.

Schedule (CET)
09:30: The venue opens
10:00: Registration begins (please arrive no later than 10.30 to claim your seat)
10:45: The main and side tournaments begin (qualification)
17:00: Dinner
18:00: The knock-out stage begins

Where am I going?
The Pinlab is located at Kirsten Walthers Vej 5, 2500 Valby, in the building called “Marketenderiet”: https://goo.gl/maps/so4g8ap1rAP2

How do I pay for my ticket?
If you haven’t already paid for your ticket please make sure to do so no later than Thursday September 22nd. Any tickets not paid for on September 23rd will be offered to the people on the waiting list.

Foods and drinks (are the drinks really free?)
Dinner is included in the ticket – and yes, the drinks, even including late night drinks, are on the house until the very last plunge of the night. Well, except coffee which is 10 kroner/cup.

You can buy sandwiches, snacks, fruit and cake throughout the day. Please note that we’ll only be able to accept cash payment in kroner (DKK) or MobilePay transfers.

Which tournament format are we going to play?
We’ll be using the the same format as in previous editions of DPO:

Main
Qualification: 5 pins, 2 games on each, both games count
Knock-out (same format in divisions A & B): One-on-one until we are down to the final 4
Classics tournament
Format to be decided.

Ruling
We follow the official IFPA/PAPA rules and guidelines. 3 referees from 3 different countries will be appointed. They will have the final say in case of malfunctions or disagreement between players.

Will I get IFPA points?
Sure, and a nice trophy if you win. The main tournament and the side/classics tournament will have a TGP value of 100.

Can I follow the tournament online?
You’ll be able to follow DPO live on the web using your smartphone, tablet, or computer by going to http://dposcores.pinlab.dk/ (the link is currently showing the results from DPO2015 qualification round).

Which pins are we going to play?
The titles used in the main and side/classics tournaments will include the following pins:

More machines will be added later on.

Can I buy a new T-shirts?
This year’s T-shirt is the second run of the original DPO T-shirt (AKA KME’s lucky shirt). Be sure to get yours by pre-paying with PayPal (remember to include a note with your size) using this address: thomas@subtext.dk. The price is 100 kroner (DKK)

Where can I sleep?
We recommend staying at Scandic Hvidovre if you’re looking for a nice and cheap hotel nearby.

It’s a short taxi ride from the venue.

What if I arrive by car and need to park?
You need to pay for parking near “Marktenderiet”. To avoid getting a parking ticket be sure to check the signs for further info before leaving your car.
