No Fear: rare flipper Switch?

Ik ben momenteel bezig met het schoonmaken van een No Fear en kwam dit tegen. In eerste instantie dacht ik dat dit een rare reparatie was van iemand, maar omdat er geen schroefgaten zitten op de plaats waar het opto printje dan zou moeten zitten begin ik te twijfelen. Zou iemand eens willen controleren of dit zo hoort?

¨I just bought a No Fear (great game!!!) but when going through it I
found one strange thing. The right flipper button does not touch the
arm that control the optos. Instead there is a plastic disc screwed
(approx 5 cm in dia.) to the button and the outside of the disc operate
the opto plastic "blocker".
OK, first I thought that it was a "MacGyver" made by the last owner.
But if I wanted the flipper opto board to be installed in the usual way
(the button directly operating the opto's plastic "blocker") I had to
move it some 1-2 cm. And I could see that there where no holes here
where it it should have been.

So, my question is: Is this a "feature" of No Fear? I could see the
point in having a little "damper" on the right flipper button since you
tend to slam it quite hard to get the ball to do the jump.

Wel vreemd overigens, waarom zouden ze dat gedaan hebben?

Even voor de andere lezers: bij mijn No Fear zit die er niet op hoor. Rechterflipper pinnetje drukt gewoon op het plastic die naar de opto gaat.

I checked it out and it looks like it was there to relocate the flipper switch away from the shooter armature which was too close for comfort.

Ja dan is het inderdaad toch origineel. Ik vond het al gek omdat de optoprint veel lager zit en er geen schroefgaten te vinden waren van de originele positie. Omdat sommige kasten het niet hebben zal het wel een fix zijn die gedurende de productie is ingevoerd wegens klachten uit de exploitatie.

Grappig: vandaag een tweede No Fear opgepikt (zeg maar gerust: gered) en die heeft het schijfje weer niet. Volgens de sticker achterop is deze een maand vroeger geproduceerd dan mijn eerste. Toch iets wat gaandeweg de productie is toegevoegd dan inderdaad.
